About HGU
Himalayan Garhwal University (HGU) is an autonomous body promulgated by the Government of Uttarakhand through UK Act No. 33 of 2016, passed by the Uttarakhand Assembly. HGU was notified by the Uttarakhand State Government vide Notification No. XXXVI (3)/2016/48(1)/2016, Under Section 2(f) of the University Grants Commission, UGC Act 1956.
